Irish whiskey is the fastest-growing spirits category in the world and Protégé International is poised to capitalise on that growth with new products launched here in Singapore.
Yesterday the group unveiled its latest super-premium spirits – The Exiles Irish Gin, The Wild Geese Irish Honey and Untamed Irish Vodka. “We wanted to create more depth to the Irish Spirits industry.” said Andre Levy, Chairman of Protégé International.
The names of liquors are reference to Irish heritage. “Wild Geese was the name given to the Irish who left during the diaspora.” explained Levy. “The Exiles is also a diaspora reference and Untamed builds on the spirit of the Irish”
All three liquors are made in Ireland and contain quintessentially Irish ingredients.“Exiles is the only Gin in the world that contains shamrock.” said Levy.
Protege’s existing Wild Geese whiskey’s have won a string of awards and Levy believes The Wild Geese Irish Honey will build on that success, particularly in Asian duty free.
“Honey whiskey liqueur is showing explosive growth.” said Levy. “ And in this part of the world, where they have a sweeter palate, this is a natural fit.”
