Ireland’s Avalon Group showcased its first collection of super-premium Irish spirits at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes last year.
Represented by Protégé International, the three brands celebrate different aspects of Irish history and culture.
Untamed Irish Vodka (40% abv) has been distilled from quality apples, the recipe of which is subject to patent application. The brand can be enjoyed on ice or in a cocktail such as vodka martini or a frozen shot. It is presented in a bespoke art nouveau-style bottle featuring spreading chrome wings that symbolise the enduring spirit of The Wild Geese, the name given to the Irish diaspora, which remains untamed.
The Exiles Irish Gin (41.3% abv) is claimed to be the only gin in the world containing Ireland’s symbol plant, the shamrock, as well as botanicals such as red clover flowers, honeysuckle flowers, rowan berries and bog myrtle, all of which are native to Ireland. This recipe is also subject to a patent application.
The Wild Geese Irish Honey Liqueur (35% abv) is a blend of organic Irish honey and The Wild Geese Irish Whiskey. The recipe is inspired by St Gobnait, Ireland’s patron saint of bees. The Wild Geese Irish Honey Liqueur can be drunk on ice or in a Ginger Fizz (one part lime juice, one part orange liqueur and two parts ginger beer).
